Do it right. Accelerate your business with the collaboration capabilities of Microsoft Office and more.
BlueSilverShift provides a range of solutions to support organizations who are or want to leverage the breadth of capabilities from Office 365. For a single subscription price, you and your users get access to a plethora of powerful productivity tools and applications.
Office 365 is not about a more effective and efficient way to deliver email. Office 365 is about modern collaboration with effective teamwork, increasing employee engagement and empowerment. Driving business transformation and a digital framework on how organizations operate. If you look at Office 365 simply as a replacement for your on premises Exchange servers then you are missing the point and paying for a lot of services that you are not using, and in turn leaving value on the table.
Our Office 365 experts can work with your organization to fully understand the use cases and economic benefits as well as alignment with your digital strategy. We also have the capabilities to provide change management and ongoing training services so that your users can keep up with the rapid pace of change that occurs with Office 365.
Readiness, Planning & Architecture
The breadth of capabilities within Office 365 can bring a significant amount of value to any organization. Realizing these benefits takes a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities that Office 365 has, and then aligning those to your organization’s goals, priorities and business drivers. BlueSilverShift’s Office 365 experts can work with your organization to map out this alignment and develop an approach best suited to your needs.
If you engage us for Office 365 Readiness, Planning and Architecture, the methodology and approach that we take is as follows:
Phase 1 – Kickoff
- Define scope
- Identify Stakeholders
- Map out desired outcome
Phase 2 – Assessment
- Understand current state
- Conduct Interviews
- Identification of collaboration goals, challenges and priorities
- Capture requirements
- Determine future state
Phase 3 – Finalize Actionable Roadmap
- Produce actionable roadmap and recommendations, linked to desired outcomes
- Gain agreement with stakeholders
- Finalize architecture, design and Return on Investment (ROI)
- Identification of Change Management and Training requirements
Migrating to Office 365 can include moving from on premises Exchange, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, but it can also be a migration from other third-party services such as Google’s G Suite and other hosted email providers. BlueSilverShift can assist with your migration to Office 365 with the following services:
- Active Directory synchronization and federation
- Mailbox migrations
- Public folder migrations
- SharePoint migrations and modernization
- SharePoint development and site templating
- Unified Communications migration to Microsoft Teams
- Change Management
- End user training
Are you a current or prospective Office 365 customer who is concerned that you will not get the full value out of your investment? If you only view Office 365 as your hosted email solution and desktop Office software, then that is a significant risk.
Microsoft averaged more than one new feature per week with Office 365 in 2016 and nearly 1.5 features a week in 2017. The pace of change in Office 365 is not slowing down, but increasing. This has become a challenge not only for IT departments because they need to figure out how to deploy (or a better term would be to enable users on new services as they come available) and manage these services. The speed at which these products are changing is also a significant challenge for end users to adapt to when they were previously used to a major upgrade only every 3 to 5 years. Ensuring that your users are adequately supported when they start to use these new services and throughout the service’s evolution is key to realizing its full business value and potential.
To help IT departments and end users take advantage of the ever changing capabilities of Office 365, we have partnered with a company called BrainStorm to provide up-to-date training for your users that keeps pace with Microsoft’s new features. You get a curriculum that is tailored to the needs of your organization and pushed to your end users in a “drip feed” fashion so that they are not bombarded with too much training at one time, which enables them to consume as much or as little training as they want over time.
Once the BrainStorm QuickHelp platform is implemented for your company, all of your employees will have access to the entire breadth of the content, but you also have the flexibility of assigning specific training paths to individuals and/ or teams over time or even turning off entire paths that are not relevant to your company. For example, if you are launching Microsoft Teams companywide, you can plan to assign the Microsoft Teams training to all users so that it coincides with the rollout of the software. This will ensure that your users are prepared with the knowledge when they need to know it, increasing their satisfaction and productivity while reducing calls to your IT Service Desk.
The platform also includes webinars that are hosted daily by BrainStorm that end-users can sign up for at times that are convenient for their schedule, granting them flexibility to take sessions that are applicable to what they want to learn. The topics of these webinars, taught by Master instructors, cover a wide range including enhancing people’s skills in technologies that they may have used for years (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or new products that Microsoft deploys over time (e.g. Teams, To-Do, Planner). The content is continuously evolving to keep up with the rapid pace of change in Office 365 so that the topics remain relevant and timely for your users.
have seen many clients who are up and running on Office 365, but when we dig deeper we uncover that while O365 was deployed in order to get rid of their on-premise Exchange servers nothing further was done to properly enable the client’s end users or to get the full value out of the Office 365 capabilities. In addition, we often find that end users have never been adequately trained and the volume of end user support calls is significantly higher than before.
Office 365 is a continually evolving suite of productivity tools available as a SaaS solution that can benefit your company in many ways. If your migration to Office 365 was initially driven by replacing email functionality, then you have likely fallen into this same trap as we’ve seen many other companies fall into.
Your Office 365 Enterprise licenses (e.g. E1, E3 and E5) have a whole suite of SaaS products available that you are paying for, but are often not being used to their full potential, or in many cases not being used at all. For example, Teams, Planner, To Do, Yammer, Flow and Power Apps are all solutions that are part of Office 365 and can add tremendous value, but are often overlooked. BlueSilverShift believes in empowering the end users by giving them access to everything so they can determine the value that each feature can provide for them in improving their own or the company’s productivity. By opening up all the features, some users will learn and experiment on their own and IT is often surprised by the unanticipated benefits that the users can come up with.
While some users are able to dive in and learn about these capabilities, others need a little more information or training. One way that BlueSilverShift assists clients and their end users to fully realize the benefits of Office 365 is through the BrainStorm QuickHelp training platform, which is a continuously updated set of end user training courses and webinars that can teach your users everything they want to learn about all that Office 365 has to offer on their own schedule.
